We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals. — Immanuel Kant
Owning a pet can change your life! In the United States, many people own pets, such as cats, fish, dogs, etc. People are known to look to their pets for unconditional love, affection, and comfort. Pets can require a lot of work to take care of, but they are definitely worth all of the time and money that you put into taking care of them and their needs! For example, shortly after you adopt a cat or dog, you should bring them to the vet to make sure that he or she is in good health! However, you need to keep in mind that a checkup can be expensive, especially if the vet discovers that your cat, dog, bird, etc. has a health problem. This actually happened a few years ago to a close friend of mine; after adopting her first pet (a dog), she brought her dog to a vet that discovered a serious health problem that required the dog to immediately undergo surgery. Luckily the dog was fortunate enough to acquire my friend as its owner, and now the dog is very healthy. This new addition to my friend’s family might be one of the best things that happened to her and her family because they have become much happier people than prior to them adopting this adorable dog. The cost of getting her pet into good health was expensive because it had to undergo surgery, but she strongly believes that it was well-worth all of the money because her dog fits perfectly into her lifestyle.
Pet owners and pets share a bond that is like no other! My name is Nikki Thomas. I’m a pet enthusiast and a pet owner; I own a few cats, dogs, fish, and birds. My pets are all of different ages and I adopted or purchased them at different times and from different places. My pets are very well-behaved and I’m a strong proponent of pet adoption! However, I ultimately support providing a pet with a healthy and happy home, regardless of where he or she comes from, such as a shelter, pet store, or breeder.
I created this website to share my insights with you on how to provide a happy home for your pet, or a pet that you’re thinking of adopting or purchasing.
